Selection Criteria for Singapore Schools Table Tennis Team for 4th ASG

 

The selection criteria for the Singapore Schools Table Tennis Team (SSTTT) are as follows:

Preliminary Round Selection

 

Selection of Players from the National Schools Table Tennis Individual Championships 2012. 

Selection Trial to select 8 boys & 8 girls players from the U-14 Category and U-17 Category

The Convenor will invite the following students to be in the Preliminary Squad:

  1. The top 4 positions from the U-14 Category (Boys & Girls)
  2. The top 4 positions from the U-17 Category (Boys & Girls)
  3. The top 4 positions from the U-20 Category (Boys & Girls)

 

 

The Convenor will invite the following students to participate in the selection trial:

  1. Students who were in the SSTTT in 2011 but failed to qualify for the top 4 positions in the U14 and U17 category in the 2012 Individual Championships.
  2. The students who achieved 5th – 8th position in the U14 and U17 category in 2012.

The top 8 boys and 8 girls from these two groups will be selected into the Preliminary Squad.

 

Total= 12 boys and 12 girls players

Total= 8 boys and 8 girls players

 

The above 20 girls and 20 boys will form the 2012 Singapore Schools Table-Tennis Preliminary Squad.

Final Round Selection

There will be a final selection trial to select the best 6 girls and the best 6 boys from the Preliminary Squad (20 girls and 20 boys) to represent the Singapore Schools Table-Tennis Team in the 4th ASG.
